  1. We had one of those for decades and only retired it when the grandkids came along - we switched to an angel.

  2. I do. I can still see the boxes they came in, too. As a kid, it was something really special to decorate the Christmas tree with these and other beautiful, but very delicate glass ornaments. I remember gently lifting them out and placing them on a branch end hoping not to break any of them and vice versa when Christmas was over. There was something then about Christmas being a season and not the crass commercial period it is now.

    1. Nothing says Christmas like pulling tinsel out of a cat's ass.

  4. I have a box of them. 9 shiny ornaments, all that is left from the large set my Grandmother had.

  5. After taking over the grandparent's old place imagine my surprise in finding 1940's authentic bubbling Christmas lights up in the attic and they still work!

  9. Have one that my wife’s Grandfather bought way back when. Price written in pencil on the box, was $0.69.
