Flat Fenders, Avantis, and Citroens. My taste in transportation is questionable.

  1. I had a 1947 Willys CJ5. Until I saw this picture, I forgot it even had shock absorbers :) I know that they never did much of anything :) [Also, noticing this one is missing the front clamp that holds the hood down :(

    1. CJ5 wasn’t built until 1954 for the 1955 model year

    2. My old military '41 Dodge pickup has knee action shock absorbers. Remember them?

  2. Hell, it's even missing the radiator and engine!

  4. What's going on with this one? Is it a mil-spec version or something? Just seeing the blackout blinkers below the headlights, the heavy blinker on the fender, and the hinge pins at the base of the grill, something I've not seen before.

  5. Blackout blinker? I thought it was a USB port...

  6. Your taste isn't questionable, it's eclectic and eccentric. Nothing to question there.

    1. I always considered the CJ-3B to be the red headed stepchild of the Jeep world. I've been seeing quite a few flat fenders for sale lately. Getting the itch to do another restoration.

  9. Had a M38 like that. Solid, simple and would get you there regardless. Not fast but steady. Miss it a lot. Can't go wrong with something like that.
