    3. Peavy has the spiked tip. Cant hooks end has a 90 degree lug for better grip while rolling.

  5. Peavey comes to a sharp point, cant hook has a 'grabbing' hook at the end, and is better for turning or rolling a log. The peavey is better for use in the situation illustrated above as the point can be used to drive in to a log and maneuver it when on the water.

  6. I use a peavey to lever a log up off the ground so I can make a through cut with the chainsaw.
