    1. The Ju-52 performed as follows:
      Maximum speed: > at sea level 265.5 km/h (165 mph/143.4 kn)
      > at 910 m (3,000 ft) 276.8 km/h (172 mph/149.5 kn)
      Cruise speed: 246 km/h (153 mph/133 kn) maximum continuous at 910 m (3,000 ft)
      209 km/h (130 mph/113 kn) economical cruise

The Mustang could theoretically keep up with the Ju-52 but for how long?

    2. The above data were shamelessly taken from Wikipedia. Thank you, Mr. Wikipedia!

  5. I used to own a fastback exactly like the one in the picture. Color, 289. etc.

  6. As late as the 70’s, there were a couple of Ford Trimotors ferrying passengers from Cleveland to islands in Lake Erie. One crashed, and the service ended.

  7. My wife gave the son , her 68 Fastback GT 390 . Just a couple years ago.
Hopefully he doesn't do something stupid and give it to his teenage son.
    I expect he will though...
