And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Many years ago I bought a complete drill index from Harbor Freight just to have all the sizes in a single box.
The idea was to replace them with a better quality drill bit as needed, in the meantime I generally had the correct sized drill bit on hand with this collection; 29 fractional sizes 1/16 in. to 1/2 in. by 64ths 26 letter sizes A to Z 60 numbered wire gauge sizes 1 to 60
Reality didn't work out like I planned as darn few were replaced with quality bits. I did however pick up a Drill Doctor bit sharpener which generally does the job when I need a sharp drill bit.

I have one of those indexes too, had it for about 25 year now. Got a few blank spots in the gauge sizes now.
ReplyDeleteI still have mine as well ... somewhere ... I think ...
ReplyDeleteIf I were 20 years younger and still doing shop work, I would snap this one up in a heartbeat! I'm tempted anyway!
ReplyDeleteYou need to slow down on your shills, CDub! I've bought a few in the past week. I can't afford to keep up...
ReplyDeleteKibbles and bits, kibbles and bits, I'm gonna git me some kibbles and bits.
