    1. It's aerodynamic. The Statesman was big, you could fit 8 or 10 teenagers in there easy.

  2. Those cars were not quick, but in a long run would outlast and out speed most other vehicles in its period...and do it more comfortably.

  3. 'The Hitch-Hiker', 1953. William Talman, aka: Hamilton Burger of 'Perry Mason' fame, plays a homicidal psychopath on the loose trying to make it into Mexico in a great film noir suspense thriller. Great movie, great cars.

    Cars and movies both, they don't make them like they used to.
