And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

It's funny how the ol' woodpile seems to absorb the cold and humidity of a long winter's weather and not burn as hotly in the Fisher Grandma Bear as it did a few months ago. Hopefully we're just about to turn the corner and only need the dern stove for taking the chill off in the mornings.

Not a real smart place to hang your kerosine lamp, might be taking pictures of a slightly larger blaze later.

DeleteA friend of mine tried to give me one of those stoves,( always super hot if it is lit) I bought the Fisher Grandma Bear!
