Yes, it attaches to a side Picitinny Rail and has a separate power adapter. You can't see it from this angle. I think there's a satellite dish on that side too, which can bring in signals as far away as Tierra del Fuego, but don't quote me on that.
I had a Stainless Mini-14 with the Folding Stock, bought it new in 1983 while in the Service. Sold it 2 years later for money to fly home on leave. I Regret that decision Everyday! Still have my Marlin .444 Though!
