And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Coal miners coming up after work, Belgium 1920s, after enjoying a nice workday of white privilege.
They didn't get paid to crouch and hobble to the face. That could be upwards of four miles away, the roof and floor may only be four feet apart. They didn't get paid to hobble back to the lift. They got paid only when they were producing. And if they died in a mine accident, their family got a partial days pay. "He didn't finish out his shift." The privilege would wreck anyone.
Since when is black lung equal to white privilege?
ReplyDeleteSince about 1964.
DeleteAlright, who farted?
ReplyDeleteWoman on right: "Do any of you have some Grey Poupon?"
