Coal miners coming up after work, Belgium 1920s, after enjoying a nice workday of white privilege.

  4. They didn't get paid to crouch and hobble to the face. That could be upwards of four miles away, the roof and floor may only be four feet apart. They didn't get paid to hobble back to the lift. They got paid only when they were producing. And if they died in a mine accident, their family got a partial days pay. "He didn't finish out his shift." The privilege would wreck anyone.

  7. Served on subs in navy. Was ok in Lauray cavern in VA . Just idea of a coal mine ... Just no.
