And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Paint that car deep red with a little metallic in it, and it'd be a looker
Reminds me of the '53 Merc Dad used to take us boys camping in. Except on top of the Merc we had a big box strapped to the roof with all of our possibles in it, including a foldable kayak that my brother made in woodshop class.
The Ol' Merc reminds me of this rig: Who needs air bags when you've got a ton and a half of American steel between you and anybody foolish enough to try to run into you?
BTW, the American flag is a nice touch. I can imagine in my mind Britney Griner flipping you off as you drive by. Heh.
Dad had a mid 50's Buick 2 door we would load an aluminum jon boat on a roof rack. I learned later in life dad rebuilt the engine in that car twice to get it to last until he got a 68 Camaro RS. He still loaded the jon boat on a roof rack so we could go fishing a couple of times a month. He kept the RS for 2 years and got bit by the Mopar bug where he became a 340 V8 performance enthusiast with the Duster, Demon, and Twister.
She's a looker just like she is. No need to gild the Lilly.

I can imagine in my mind flipping Britney off whether I'm driving past or she is. You might say it's more of an ambition now.

ReplyDeleteMid - 50s Buick, engine rebuilt twice- remember when getting to 100,000 miles was big deal?
Delete1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe. Can't tell if it's a Business Coupe or a Four Passenger Coupe.
ReplyDeleteI was going to guess the Businessman's Coupe.
DeleteI doubt that the boat does anything positive for the car's handling.
ReplyDeleteRed just seems fast to me anyways.... https://imgur.com/USEAqMx
