And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The best times in my life were going camping and boating with my dad. Looking back on it, it was a lot of work after he put in a 40 hour week driving truck and dozer. A better man than me.
Spent years going camping with my family our family of 6. Dad had a 17’ Concord trailer. We went everywhere with it. Trick was to be outside. Little tight on rain days but my brother and I would get up in the bed above the dinette and look down. Got a Suzuki 90 and bought one of those racks to carry it. Great days. Mom and Dad kept camping in a small motor home until they turned 80. Dad just passed at 90. The “privileged”middle class being destroyed right in front of his eyes. He’s in a much better place. Thanks Dad, thank Mom every day still.

That looks like glamping to me. Camping is a tent and a bedroll.
ReplyDeleteWhat's with the tent? Greenhorn
DeleteI would love to find something like that. A fun winter project to restore and spring/fall camp. No ac would make it a 2 season camper.
ReplyDeleteThis is the way.
ReplyDeleteWhat I see is a man outnumbered four to one. Even so he looks as happy as Larry.
