And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
They knife is a COYE. I bought mine at the Tulsa gun show. The maker is retired Special Forces and a nice guy. The blade is thicker than it appears and is quite stout.
Hiram Maxim's patent was for a silencer but either term works. I know suppressor more accurately describes the sound reduction but not elimination. And there have been many 'cans' for lots of different pistols, including 1911's. That's a decent selection of St. John of Ogden's products, with a good assortment of what looks to be Wilson/Rogers mags. I can't make out which brand it is with the suppressor/silencer, but it looks like a Sig, which would make sense since they also make cans.
The trick is getting the threaded barrel installed, or finding a factory one. I saw a pretty sweet Kimber ready to go at a gun show a few years ago. Came _this_ close to grabbing it.
45 ACP being generally subsonic is an EXCELLENT round for pairing with a suppressor. In fact one of the premier "special forces" guns of WWII was the DeLisle carbine, a bolt action carbine with an integrally suppressed barrel in 45ACP.
suppressor
ReplyDeleteAnybody know where that knife can be purchased?

Well the. 45 is already subsonic, so suppressing the ammo ignition is easier.

ReplyDeleteA guy was firing a 1911 with one of those at the club several years ago. It was still pretty loud.
