The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Most of these cars are wasted on people who can afford them. A few years back someone in Dallas bought a 1 of 375 McLaren P1 and totaled it within a week.
Last crash I had was in 1972 when I was 17 (1966 Mustang). It's not that hard to NOT crash or be crashed into. You DO have to pay attention. Perhaps having access to huge sums of money skews the equation.
