And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My grand father had an old truck like that, parked and derelict in front of the barn, when I was a wee tyke. A Diamond REO, that had been converted into a hay gathering gizmo of some description. I used to to play on it and in it, untill the yellow jackets built a nest and spoiled my fun.
If it was a few years older it'd look like the one that backed into the side of my Blazer a couple months ago, putting 2 small dents in the edge of the right rear fender well. That one looks like early 30's.
Tow mater!
ReplyDeleteHmm. More like, rode hard 'n up wet.

ReplyDelete'33-'34 judging by the grille. On another note, it appears to have a '32 hood n sides setting atop its nose.
