And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Regarding photo no. 2 my guess is a drunken idiot, driving way too fast, didn't know the bridge was under major renovation. Too late to apply the breaks he gunned it thinking his wheel base could traverse the top support plates. Alas, he only managed to rip off the rear axle, then climbed out but fell to his death.
#16 is Lion's Back, Moab, Utah. It's been closed for awhile now. It's 350 ft. high and a 65 degree slope. The right way - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJ7Auk1ZT4s The wrong way - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-Xw_-n1avU

ReplyDeleteand is that a Mass. plate? Kinda far from home, ain't he?
DeleteMaybe the tire is a Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR? And the motorcycle has a California plate.
