And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

An out standing movie. Great story and great acting. Very gritty and true to life. It seems they don't do movies like that anymore. It seems. I always thought what a great team up Frank Bullitt and Harry Callahan would have been.
The Mexico car was used in the movies stunts but was a stripped shell in a junkyard. The Bullitt car used for most filming was stored in a guys garage for many years. He knew what he had.

DeleteI believe the car was found in mexico a year or two ago and refurbished. It might have been a backup car not sure, memory not so good.
