And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

The size of the Giant Short-faced Bear
It would be something scary to see this bear living at the garbage dump. And you think this is impressive, wait till you see the size of the long faced bear!
That is average for this bear's size. And remember that in every species there were individuals that would grow to 1 and a half times the average size.
Holy cow. This over-sized pooh bear creature is barely perceivable.

ReplyDeleteIf this is the species I'm thinking of, they were able to run at the same speed as your modern day horse. Imagine trying to out run that.
