  1. It's my understanding that for a time, ice boat sailing was the faster mode of human transportation. Nothing man made went faster.

    The local lads get 60 mph ++ out of those buggers, scares the crap out of me just to watch.

  4. You should try sitting on a bucket, on Lake Saint Clair, with a two foot fishing pole, when the ice boats come screaming across the lake, if you want a good scare.

    They move incredibly fast, and don't appear to steer with a lot of precision. But whatever floats your boat.
