  2. I've witnessed that. It happened at the Michigan (clouds) and Ohio (clear) border. Maddening to see when you're pining for sunshine in the winter, knowing that just an hour south it's likely clear skies!

  3. I've seen that in North Texas, outside Wichita Falls, but instead of water vapor the clouds were all reddish brown dust. I was in a commuter turboprop at the time, and it was 'interesting' flying through the frontal boundary.
