And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Owl? Funny, stepped out on the deck this morning and there was a black cat sitting on the railing, never seen it before out here in extreme ruralville. I just stood there looking at it and sipping my mud in the dawns early light and it looking at me, unafraid. It jumped down and started doing figure 8's around my legs as I strode to my detached office-workshop. Looked out there late and it was gone. Mystery.
