And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Might be very useful after November 3rd. But not as useful as an AR-15 along with a dozen 30 round mags and a few thousand rounds of 5.56 rounds to reload them with.
It seems this is to supplement other food sources. Example: the Beef Stew pouch contains two servings. Each serving contains 200 calories. The bucket contains three Beef Stew pouches. So, it is conceivable one would eat all Beef Stew pouches in one sitting. Extrapolate that across the remaining pouches in the bucket. Meaning, 24 servings in the bucket equals 4,800 calories.
By my understanding, the only way the bucket makes sense is that it is to supplement other food. But if other food can be sourced why would you store freeze dried food? And the freeze dried food is not super packed with calories; it would be great if each serving held 800 or more calories.
What am I missing?
(I have packed freeze dried food. But that was when on occasional long excursions into the field.)

Rick is right. The "servings" in those things are for children. The amount of salt and preservatives is over the top. And then the cost. OMG
ReplyDeleteGet a food drier on amazon for about $50 and do your own.
Bogs right too, about the AR. It's coming.
This is starting to sound like the stuff Jim Bakker was pimping.
