  3. When I was in the military I was on a C-5 that lost 3 engines on the trip over the pond. We were loaded heavy enough that we needed an in-flight refuel just after takeoff and we used up almost all of 8000 foot runway to get off the ground. None of the engines were as bad as that one but the landing in Rota Spain was so smooth we didn't know we were on the ground until we felt the brakes. We were stuck there for three weeks before heading into the sandbox. It was one of the best deployments of my military career.

  9. People complain when an aircraft is held up an extra half hour for maintenance, and then lose their minds when this happens.
    "DON"T YOU PEOPLE CHECK ANYTHING?"
