“Malo periculosam, libertatem quam quietam servitutem.”
I can name Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky and Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin from memory but the 3rd has me puzzled, I've no idea.
If you can get Mussorgsky then for sure you know who no. 3 is. World's greatest author.
Yes, it's Tolstoy but "World's Greatest Author?" Heck, just among Russian authors I would give Dostoyevsky the nod over Leo ;>}
Depends if you're a fan of realism versus existentialism, or rather if you like Dickens and Balzac more than Camus end Sartre...
I should have said "Some say..." before my hint.
I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Tolstoy or Dostoyevsky before today (I looked them up)
I got Rasputin right off. Well familiar with the other two but not by portraits. I still think Brothers Karamazov is the greatest novel I've ever read, but then I'm a philosophy geek to begin with.
I think a picture of Kournikova might provide some needed contrast here.
