And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? I got Rasputin right off. Well familiar with the other two but not by portraits. I still think Brothers Karamazov is the greatest novel I've ever read, but then I'm a philosophy geek to begin with.
I can name Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky and Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin from memory but the 3rd has me puzzled, I've no idea.
ReplyDeleteIf you can get Mussorgsky then for sure you know who no. 3 is. World's greatest author.

DeleteI should have said "Some say..." before my hint.
DeleteI don't think I've ever seen a picture of Tolstoy or Dostoyevsky before today (I looked them up)
