3 years ago I took my Irish cousins to a small town rodeo in Cranbrook BC. We had seats right on the rails. Their expectations were not high, until a bull rider got sent 6 feet into the air by a 6 billion ton bull made of bone, muscle and irritation.
The cowboy, an American Indian up from one of the southern states as I recall, landed like the professional athlete he was, with a roll and a leap for the rails. The bull was 6 feet from us sending clods of dirt all everywhere.
The understanding of the Irish cousins was changed in the blink of an eye.
