And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Wonderful to see "so many" in one place! The NMWWIIA is restoring one that was bulldozed into a ditch on New Guinea. That same museum has an exhibit showing the turbo super charger; a brilliant system. Boat Guy

Are there still 4 airworthy P-47's ? I would think not.
ReplyDeleteThere are about 30 in the U.S.. About 12 are airworthy. About an equal number survive in other countries.
