    1. I think you are AI acting dumb so others will come along to feed you correct information.

    2. Right.
Because no one would ever put after-market parts on a vintage warbird.

  2. No, it's (I think) a Mark 9 with a more powerful engine, over 400 mph in level flight.

  3. Not a Mark IX, which had a Merlin engine. It's a later model Spit, perhaps a Mk XIV which had a Griffon engine and 5-blade wooden prop; and the Griffon engine rotated its prop in the opposite direction to that of the earlier Merlin engine.

  5. Be cool (if it were feasible) to put a Griffon in that (427?) Cobra. I think Griffons powered some super speedboats.

  7. With an AC Cobra.

  8. Spitfire Mk XIV, you can tell by the rounded rudder top and the mixed cannon and machine gun armament. Mk 21s had 4 cannons, a pointier rudder and never had the bubble canopy.

  10. I'm a purist.

    The paint jobs should match.

    Awesome pair.

  11. I've never been much of a car guy. Must be because they are only controllable in one axis. But that would be a fun car to drive around in. The Spit would be a blast. They say that they are the best pilot's airplane around. For now I have to settle for the flight sim version.

It always amazes me about the number of people who know nothing who feel like they need to spout off about things they know very little about. About aircraft, specifically.
