And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Years ago playing softball I broke 3 of the pitchers ribs. He had a bad habit of turning his back on a play like that. I was playing 3rd with a runner on third, and had a rolling grounder hit to me. I went up the line to retrieve it, looked back the runner and turned to first base to make the throw. Well he wandered into my line and went down like a sack of potatoes.
not a joke! I've seen studies showing that soccer (footie) headers can lead to dementia.
