And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was workingcamping at an amusement park in Iowa, on the bumper cars that day. Hollering "clockwise-clockwise" at the kids like the signs said, then I realized they didn't know which way a clock went...they grew up digital.
The style was called "Googie" and derives from the "space age" designs. We had a clock VERY much like it when I was growing up. It dated to the mid-fifties.
