One oversized prop. Look how close it is to a ground strike! Inches!

  2. Sure looks like somebody stuffed an oversized engine in that aircraft. A really big twin for torque or large 4 cylinder, hard to tell which.

  3. It is a STOL competition plane.

All it does is three point takeoffs and three point touchdowns.

    4Cyl.

    1. Seems like a shorter, but more paddle-bladed prop might be better, possibly with 3 or even 4 blades, depending on the engine power available.

    2. It'd have to be, wouldn't it.
Be a real pisser otherwise to do a normal roll out, and chew the prop off when the tail comes up level.

  4. Looks much closer than inches. Millimeters, perhaps? Or maybe mils.

    1. Look again! Your frame of reference is off.

  5. My guess is that the prop could be for if the cub was on floats.
