And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Looks like my '64 only mine was old English white. Was fun to own and drive except for hitting my nog on the roof at every bump. They changed the high cushion seats to sling style to gain 3 inches of head room on the '66 (at the expense of lower seating and leg support. At the time it did not occur to me to change seats, oh well. Sold it not long after getting hitched, no room for kids ;-)
A ‘bonnet,’ and definitely a London ‘Mews.’ The latter being the servants accommodation and tradesmen’s entrance to the rear of a huge property. Some would also be capable of housing stables and carriages.
Been 50 years since I serviced one of those Jags. Not enough head room. Now I'm wondering if it would tilt more if the front end was jacked upwards for ground clearance?

ReplyDeleteProbably not that bad. IIRC, the bonnet was made of Al-you-min-ium and the steel bumper in front of the hinge point would counterbalance it.
