I'm usually a Progresso man, but this might be worth a shot.

  3. Little gurlz will tell you how unhealthy it is.
I bought a case of Campbells clam chowder last week.

    1. A-men! Just had a can of Campbell's beef and barley yesterday. I fed the most of the can to my dog and swore I would never buy another can of their soup again.

  5. Looks like Campbells did the same thing with the Homestyle soup that they just did with their Chunky soup.
They both have gone from 18.6-8 to 16.1 oz. per can.
I didn't see the corresponding 9-10% price decrease though?

    1. Good catch, just checked some I got on sale locally last week, smaller cans haven't made it into the stores in my area yet but I'll keep an eye out.

  6. A large can of dinty beef stew, with a hole in the lid cut with my hinting knife, setting on the coals edge of the fire, while getting a set of home made biscuits to cook while the dinty warms up. All that sweet smokey flavor just waiting for my mouth to take over.
Anyways, way we did it camping out in the Boy Scouts. Some guys started bringing Cambell's chunky back when those came around. Might be a ruffed grouse or pheasant or a brace of squirrels if we got lucky. It all tastes great over a camp fire.

    1. Can't do the can on the coals anymore. The cans have liners.

  7. Homemade is the best made. I sometimes make a huge pot of beef vegetable soup which has about 13 different vegetables. Heavy on the cabbage. Very hearty. Very good.

    1. Yeah that cabbage gives it nice earthy flavor.

    2. Actually no, just fiber and vitamins, cabbage hater. You can't taste it.

  8. Had something similar like an Italian chicken noodle. But I am not sure. I didn't even know turkeys had balls
