And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That's a curvature of lens view. There is no place on Earth, to include the top of Mt. Everest, where you are high enough to see the earth's curvature.
The cockpit of an SR-71 at altitude is a different story.
I thought I saw the curve flying over the Himalaya's in an A380 but apparently even that was an optical illusion. Service ceiling 43,000 feet and the Himalaya's is about as high as they go in normal service. Everest ain't going to cut it.
