And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I had a Plane Jane version called the ID19 as my first car. It was pretty worn out by its previous drunkard owner but was cool when it was going. I'd like a nice DS21 - 23 or an SM but they are now too expensive for me to indulge in. Good ones are reliable and not hard to look after - just different.
Love those things. Reverse is in an odd spot iirc, and the turn signals aren't self-cancelling. I don't remember the air vents being as modern as those.
Thinking this is a Henri Chapron Series 2 car, and quite a pretty one at that.
These are current remanufactured DS series with features like he Jaeger instrument panel, the late style central ventilation/AC setup, the door speakers in leather covered drums.
Can't tell exactly from the picture, as many of the Citroen DS Manufaktur built Chapron Series 2 cars are cabrios.
I have to hand it to those cheese-eating surrender monkeys, they have some pretty innovative design ideas.
ReplyDeleteand the smoothest ride in the industry.
DeleteLooks like a DS21 Pallas. Lovely car to drive.
ReplyDeleteCW seems to just adore that brand.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid a friend of my dad's had one. The guy loved it, but I thought it always looked like it was dragging its ass.

DeleteDid that damn dash just puke the steering wheel? Obscene looking.
ReplyDeleteAnd the gearshift just below the instrument cluster...
