And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Wow. $1500 for a bench top drill. Despite the implied claim, not constant torque or anything like it- BLDC motor, variable speed, no belts. Absurd price for a bench drill. And by the way, it's a 7" drill, not 15". The ad cites "swing", not "column to center", although it's now common to do this. Standard bench drill size, in other words.. For comparison: used Delta 16 to 20" floor models can be had for around $300; 2+ hp, decent speed range, actually drill to the center of a 30"+ piece of stock, etc.
For 20 years I've been using Delta's smallest drill press (DP100?) and it works fine for 90% of my tasks. Won't turn a 2" spade in hard wood though. Everything has it's limits.
do yourself a favor. get a floor standing drill press. there just is no room for a cross vise, the item being drilled, and a drill bit on a benchtop, even a very large one.
If I was wealthy my whole shop would be slammed with Powermatic stuff.
