  2. I have a Dewalt that works great.

  3. I've had a small compressor in the trunk for years that plugs into 12V plug on car. Don't have to worry about battery going dead in the winter.

    1. Yep. This thing's worthless unless you're also a tradesman using DeWalt tools and can count on always having at least one charged battery pack in your vehicle. Much better to have a 12V one.

  4. We had a different brand of portable air compressor, and it was not reliable at all. Probably should have gotten a name brand like DeWalt.

  5. Viair 87P is what you need. Crocodile clips onto battery posts, runs at higher rate that silly little ones that plug in to 12V socket (which are usually restricted to 10A max). Great little compressor, will inflate a flat truck tire in no time.

  6. Not a DeWalt. "Made for DeWalt batteries". I have a couple non-DeWalt tools and they are complete crap. Buy from the OEM or don't bother.

    1. 's what I thought.
I have yet to find or try a car-powered air compressor that isn't a total POS.

One of the ones marketed by Slime failed me literally NIB, within 30 seconds of cracking it out of the package.
Oh, and of course, 100% chinesium.
Where Quality Control is job #3687.

(Reason #1 why we don't wait to try things out at 3AM by the side of the highway, 50 miles from town.)
