And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

The baron's life was a wild story if you are interested.
The figure of Baron Roman von Ungern-Sternberg, commander of the anti-communist resistance in the Far East of Russia and Mongolia, appeared in Novosibirsk, at 10 Fabricnaya Street, at the place where he was shot.
Sorry to hear about your demise. I'm betting Baron Roman von Ungern-Sternberg never looked at his end with pity. In fact, my wager is he gets vengeance in time.
He thought a lot of rather odd things. Once he took over Mongolia, he ended up marrying the daughter of a Chinese warlord. They communicated in English, the only language they had in common.
