  2. I've never been fly fishing. Are there so many different types because they're single use? Or are there actually specific flies for specific fish during specific weather conditions?

    1. Not at all single use. They can get beat up after you’ve caught a few fish with them, especially depending on their size, but you can use them many many times.

  3. 165 flies at say $2.50 each means over $400 in one pouch the size of your hand.. Probably better to break it up into several duplicate packs to avoid one very tragic boating or wading accident..

  4. Success depends on knowing the specific larva that are hatching so you can match things up. On many rivers, what works in early May won’t work at all by Memorial Day. YMMV.
