And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Without looking up the cost of anything, here's my guess at what we're looking at..... * The can. I can't identify it, but my guess is that whatever it is will run $800 plus the $200 tax stamp. * The laser device. I think we're looking at a MAWL which will put you back $3000-ish. * The red dot. Prolly $450. * And lastly, the gun. An H&K MP-5. Full-auto?....insane money. $20K? $30k? Dunno. And then, of course, another $200 tax stamp. Third-party semi-auto clones (minus the cool-guy collapsable stock) are north of $2k.
Like most guys who are into guns, I've got that box of holsters-which-turned-out-to-be-really-bad-ideas. And somewhere at the bottom of that box, I think I have a shoulder holster. YMMV, but here in AZ, they are hard to conceal, and then there's the whole sweep-your-own-arm-on-the-draw thingi. I don't know anyone who admits to actually using one.
I appreciate the tip on the shoulder holster. I've been picturing myself with one. Actually, I've been picturing my face on Steve McQueen's Bullitt, as I get dressed with Jacqueline Bisset watching me https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062765/mediaviewer/rm2233090816?ref_=ttmi_mi_all_sf_83. Thanks for the reality check before I plunked down the cash.
Shoulder rigs have their place and time. I have them for every handgun I own. Don't do the chicken wing side draw! Move your off-side elbow out just enough to keep from whacking it as you sweep the muzzle down along your body, and start wrist rotating it upright after the muzzle begins sweeping your opponent. That's for the horizontal or angled carry type, and the muzzle vertical up like McQueen carried in Bullit.
Is it? The US today has over 400 million weapons in circulation. More weapons than ever before and I can't say that today's society is any more polite than we were in the past
A little overdressed for the insurrection…

Pistol caliber...9mm? not my cup of tea, YMMV.
ReplyDelete9mm is totally adequate from a full auto dispenser. Remember, short bursts.
