And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I know very little about my grandmothers, but mom would occasionally borrow my car in my senior year of highschool. It was a '57 Chevy convertible with a late 60's big block engine that was built for street racing. That car could pop the front wheels off the ground when shifting 2nd. Probably in excess of 600 hp. She could drive anything, pretty much.
my parents would declare my aunt drove a model t to school when she was in the first grade. I mentioned this to a friend's father he said nonsense her feet wouldn't reach the pedals. I told my parents what he said and in unison they replied flatly, "she stood up."
