And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? That SHOULD be a 7.62x51 for pirates. Not enough range or punch for 5.56. Of course, if you have yacht money, you'll also have 300 Win. mag, 338 Lapua, and 50 BMG.
Nah. You want nothing smaller than belt-fed 7.62, and ideally, a twin-.50 cal mount. At sea, a .223 is a close-in popgun. A .50 cal enforces your will, at range, out to half a mile or more.
