And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Last night, the sky ignited for about two minutes as the sun fell below the coast range. Do I see a little bit of Virga from that cloud?
So, I learned a new word today. How is it that I'm so unaware that I could live 70 years and never hear of "virga"? It "virgas" all the time around here. I just call it wannabe rain.
Virgas? Earlier my 78-year old eyes' first view of the caption read "viagra"! Spent a moment trying to reconcile that interpretation then moved on somewhat baffled. Second visit tells me it was a Freudian moment of sorts.
Don't fence me in.

DeleteRick, Mare's Tail's are cirrus clouds, way up there, virga falls from clouds much lower usually cumulus.
