And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Happy birthday Ed. Thanks for all you've done.
ReplyDeleteLooks like he's ready to start work. Good on him!
ReplyDeleteIf that cigar was a lollypop he could be Telly Savalas
ReplyDeleteStill lookin good.
ReplyDeleteBought my first "Isky Cam for a 59 Plymouth 318 in 1964. Had a crazy idle!
ReplyDeleteBack in the mid 80's I had a 78 4x4 F-100 with a 400M that needed a rebuild at 70k miles because of the soft valve guides. I contacted Isky cams to get a low rpm torque monster cam and their suggestions for compression, intake, and carb setup. I ended up with a 380 HP and 465 lb-ft torque that was ideal for a 4x4. I put 160k miles on it before I traded it for a 99 F-150. The engine was just as strong as when I built it.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to an Icon!
