And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Ever tried to pluck porcupine quills out of a 120 pound dog? My brother and I did it once. After that Humphrey went to the vet so he could sleep through the experience. I think he got quilled four times total. Expensive dog.
My uncle said the second time his dog (G shepherd?) got quilled, he found the dog waiting for him at his truck to take him to the vet. The third time my uncle pulled the quills himself. There was no fourth time.
Why would you do that?..Really stoopid. My neighbors were gone and their dog was my pal. He got quilled and another neighbor and I tried to pull them because Mr Bear trusted me. After a couple he was giving me a side-eye look so we quit and called his parents. Off to the vet. They are nasty!
