And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

EDC X9 9mm - shockingly expensive, but, could it be worth it?
The symbol on the grip appears to be from Wilson Combat. They do make some nice things, but I read an article a little over a year ago that said their firearms - such as the one above - were prone to jamming. So no, it might not be worth it. Looks real cool though!
a long time ago, a much older man than me then told me, if you think you need a gun, then it should be the best one you can afford to get. get something you know is going to work when you need it. and then get good with it. know it. I carried a Sig 220 ever since the early 1980's.

Ditto. Buy the best gun you can afford to lose. In you have to use it in a real world situation, it will be confiscated for evidence. You could lose the use of the pistol for years depending on how long the grand jury and possible trial go on. Then there is a little matter of prying it loose from the police. I'm not saying that the police might "misplace" your pistol, but there have been stories.
Nice looking but who needs a nice looking weapon. One of my pistols was a Turkish 9mm Canik. Light, functional very accurate and inexpensive, but it didn't have a safety catch. It had a Disconnector. Never got used to it. IMHO, a weapon should have a safety catch. I tried.

DeleteI remember when you could buy a new VW Beetle for that money.
ReplyDeleteMe too, but in inflation-adjusted dollars, this is only 1/5 of a brand new 1970 VW Beetle.
DeleteSpend all that money to have the piece confiscated if you have to use it?
ReplyDeleteNope.

ReplyDelete$3,210
ReplyDeleteNo. These are toys for wealthy people who want to show off.
My arsenal includes pistols from Remington, Colt, SIG, and Barretta. Form, function reliability equivalent to this. And combined, cost about the same.
