And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Perhaps they changed the design, but I had one and when the batteries die halfway through opening a can; the batteries were underneath and could not be changed without taking the opener off the can. Which could not be done with the cutting head locked onto the can, it needs power to release. If they fixed that then ... maybe. In the interim I'll continue to use my Made in USA manual can opener.
I have one. Works great.

Balderdash. Why back in my day we opened a can with a stick. A stick I tell ya.
ReplyDeleteSure the old timey method was great until the ol Arthur- I- tus sets in.
ReplyDeleteThese are pretty wonderful. No sharp edges either. Oh— great gift item.
Make sure to order the Version 2, it is far better and longer lived than the original
ReplyDeleteI have one sold as "The Texas Twister". Works great when opening multiple cans for a big batch of chili.
ReplyDeleteI though it was a vibrator til I expanded the pix. Damned small screen phones.
ReplyDeleteMy 20+ year old can opener died last week and I replaced it with the red Kitchen Mama.
ReplyDeleteStill using my 40+ year old Swing-A-Way. It was good enough for the Space Shuttle, it's good enough for me.
