And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

A wood hungry wildcat. Who came up with that slogan?
If I remember right , Pioneer was Sears trade name back in those days . That one looks like it was made for em by Homelite . I've got one out in the garage that is so big I have trouble picking it up anymore . This thing is so old it's got a glass bowl fuel filter on it .
I had one of the early McCulloughs. 20" bar with a lawnmower engine. Heavy and balance was to the left, away from the chain bar. That's why the hand bar was a large pole which stuck straight out to the left, to wrestle the machine to cut straight. The chain bar became a fulcrum, the hand bar a lever.
Nothing like standing right over the blade of the chainsaw, so that WHEN it bucks back at you, it will cut your face in half. Doesn't anyone know to use a chainsaw by cutting at an angle to yourself, so that when it bucks back it won't do you harm? --Rusty W
