  3. A useful tool for short term localized loss of power. For long term widespread loss of power it's kind of pointless. After a day or two there won't be any cell phone service. After a week or more there likely won't be many radio stations left broadcasting. Worth having but make sure other prep items are acquired before spending money on this.

    1. $29, multiple ways to power it and it has shortwave capability, what's not to like?
      Ice storms, hurricanes, blizzards and the like happen all the time, this is like having a week of canned food stashed away... not a big expenditure to get it but if you ever needed it you'll be glad it's there.
