If I remember correctly he was going up around 120mph then hit the nitro & it bounced a couple of times then took off. I think he was running a big prop & it took a long stretch to get it up to speed & it ran the boat too high out of the water & made it squirrelly & he let off the throttle, never let off.
I think water solidifies or feels solid about 60. I have skied at 35 and lost it being swung around to go back the other direction (putting me going about 70. I rolled around a good bit before even being to sink.
