And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I have a few that are like the large one in the 8 o'clock position. I found them in north Georgia and western North Carolina over the years. It has been over 30 years since I found my last one.
My dad had a bunch he found growing up near Tellico Plains, Tennessee. It was near the site of Great Tahlequah, which was one of the principal Cherokee towns in the 1700s.
The artistic beauty of humans work in all ages is hard to explain. The drive to produce a more beautiful object than necessary for it's real usefullness I think was the thing that made us human. Bubbarust
