    1. About that, Dan. It's a fine looking machine alright. I'm kinda partial to the '63 rear split-window, myself.

    1. Those are officially called side pipes by gm. Lake pipes where from the
fiftys, an add on to early customs and often fake. The last set of original 67
side pipes I sold brought more than the first Corvette I bought.

  3. A firefighter friend bought one new. We made $400 a mo at the time. Got 6 mpg.

  4. Just noticed also the wheels are wrong. The 67 did not have knock offs,
as they were outlawed by our wonderful goobermint officials after 66 model year.

  5. Ruined that build with the choice of wheels IMO.

    1. I wasn't critizing this beautiful car,as I always had this on my top
list. Just trying to add some info for other car nuts. I judged Corvette
shows and can say that the details we had to get into would drive you nuts.

  6. Let's not forget the three tail lights on each side. Definitely not stock.

  7. I like the color, you hardly ever see green cars anymore.

  8. I have a 74 Stingray that has been upgraded to a 415 HP small block with a stock 4 speed rock crusher and a 4:10 posi rear. My Audi A5 is quicker but it is not as much fun to drive.

  9. '63 to '67 is my favorite body style, although I prefer convertibles.
Once you've driven with the top down, nothing else is quite as good.

  10. First car I was over 165 mph, 435 67' roadster. Scary and very unstable at that speed. At that time I had wrecked my mother's 67' 396 Chevelle. Unsatisfied
with the repaired car, she traded for a 69' Dodge Charger 440 magnum RT.
It was as fast as the Corvette, but much more stable at speed.
